1. Application License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Download and use the Forava app on your personal iOS devices
• Create and store cultural gift designs for personal, non-commercial use
• Share cultural gifts created with the app with your contacts
• Access AI-powered design generation features

3. Subscription Management & Cancellation

• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription anytime through your App Store account settings
• Effective Date: Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
• No Partial Refunds: We don't provide refunds for partial subscription periods
• Manage Subscriptions: Go to Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions in iOS Settings
• Account Issues: Contact Apple Support for billing and payment issues
• Access After Cancellation: You retain access to premium features until the end of your billing period

4. Free Trial (If Offered)

If we offer a free trial:

• Trial periods are specified at time of subscription
• Your subscription begins immediately when the trial ends
• Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges
• One trial per Apple ID account
• Full feature access during trial period

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Forava responsibly and respectfully:

• Creating cultural gift designs for personal sharing and celebration
• Sharing gifts with family, friends, and contacts
• Using all app features as intended
• Customizing designs with personal messages and cultural elements
• Saving and exporting your created designs

❌ Prohibited Uses:

• Creating culturally insensitive, offensive, or disrespectful content
• Using the app to generate inappropriate, harmful, or hateful imagery
• Attempting to reverse-engineer or modify the app
• Using the app for commercial purposes without permission
• Selling or distributing AI-generated designs for profit
• Violating any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempting to access or interfere with our servers or AI services
• Misrepresenting cultural traditions or practices
• Circumventing subscription or payment systems

6. AI-Generated Content

• Your Content: You retain ownership of cultural gift designs you create
• AI Processing: Text prompts are sent to OpenAI for image generation
• Personal Use: AI-generated images are for personal, non-commercial use only
• No Warranties: We do not guarantee cultural accuracy or appropriateness of AI-generated content
• Review Before Sharing: You are responsible for reviewing designs before sharing them
• Content Filtering: We implement filters to prevent inappropriate content, but cannot guarantee perfect filtering

7. Cultural Sensitivity and Respect

Forava is committed to honoring diverse cultural traditions:

• Respectful Use: Use cultural designs in a respectful and appropriate manner
• Cultural Accuracy: While we research cultural traditions, we encourage users to verify cultural appropriateness
• Reporting: You may report culturally insensitive content through the app
• Community Standards: We reserve the right to remove content that violates cultural sensitivity standards
• No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that all designs will be culturally appropriate for every individual or community
• User Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring designs are appropriate for your recipients

8. Content and Privacy

• Your Designs: Cultural gift designs you create belong to you
• Contact Access: Contact information is accessed only with your permission and never uploaded to our servers
• Privacy: See our Privacy Policy for detailed information about data handling
• Local Storage: All designs are stored locally on your device
• Sharing: You control when and how to share your designs

9. Service Availability

• We strive to maintain 99.9% service availability for AI generation
• Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance or updates
• Internet connection required for AI image generation
• Some features work offline (viewing saved designs, browsing templates)
• We may update or modify features with app updates
• AI generation times may vary based on system load

10. Intellectual Property

• App Content: The Forava app, its design, and underlying technology are our property
• User Designs: You own the cultural gift designs you create
• AI-Generated Images: Generated images are provided for your personal use under license from OpenAI
• Trademarks: "Forava" and related marks are our trademarks
• Cultural Elements: Traditional cultural symbols and patterns are part of cultural heritage and not owned by us

11. Disclaimers and Limitations

• Service Quality: We provide the service "as is" and cannot guarantee perfect AI-generated content
• Cultural Accuracy: AI-generated designs are interpretations and may not perfectly represent all cultural nuances
• Device Compatibility: Requires iOS 17.0 or later
• Internet Dependency: AI image generation requires internet connection
• Limitation of Liability: Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the past 12 months
• No Guarantee: We do not guarantee that designs will be appropriate for all recipients or occasions

12. Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access if you:

• Violate these Terms of Use
• Use the app inappropriately or unlawfully
• Create culturally offensive or harmful content
• Attempt to harm our service or other users
• Engage in fraudulent activity or payment chargebacks

Upon termination: Your subscription will be cancelled and access to premium features will end immediately. Locally stored designs will remain on your device.

13. Updates and Changes

• App Updates: We may update the app to add cultural designs, features, or fix issues
• Terms Changes: We may update these Terms with 30 days notice
• Continued Use: Using the app after changes means you accept the new Terms
• Notification: Important changes will be communicated through the app or email

14. Apple App Store Terms

Additional terms apply as you've downloaded this app through the Apple App Store:

• Apple is not responsible for the app or its content
• Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app
• All subscription billing is handled by Apple In-App Purchases
• Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies
• For billing issues, contact Apple Support directly
• Third-party terms (OpenAI) may also apply to AI-generated content

15. International Users

• Available in multiple countries through the App Store
• Pricing may vary by region and currency
• Local laws and regulations apply in addition to these Terms
• AI processing may occur outside your country of residence
• Cultural designs are intended for global audiences with diverse traditions

16. Dispute Resolution

• Contact First: Please contact us directly to resolve any issues
• Arbitration: Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration
• Class Action Waiver: You agree not to participate in class action lawsuits
• Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by applicable laws in your jurisdiction
• Informal Resolution: We encourage informal resolution before formal proceedings

17. Effective Date and Acceptance

These Terms are effective as of the date shown above. By using Forava, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

Important: These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Forava. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
